The State Builder for Processor Expert is an enhancement tool that allows developers to describe their applications by state charts (deterministic finite-state machines) and to generate a source code implementing them.

State Builder (SB) plug-in for Processor Expert (PE) uses UML compliant State Machine design approach for rapid application layer building on top of HAL(s) configuration management provided by PE
SB can generate a source code in C programming language from structure of state machine
SB contains several code-generation algorithms
SB verifies a formal structure of state automaton (error checking is performed both in design-time and during (before) the code generation process)
SB generates all application code and exports it into PE source files
SB optimizes generated source code
SB allows maintenance and synchronization of generated code
SB allows user to use all APIs provided by PE (HAL, Register Level MCU API)
SB is platform independent
