Web Processor Expert Available for COP8

WEB PROCESSOR EXPERT was developed to introduce the power of a platform- independent, Web-based software tool into the arena of development tools for embedded systems. The Processor Expert is a complete development environment for design, implementation, verification, and optimization of an embedded microcontroller applications. This tool includes Graphical IDE (integrated development environment), Classic IDE, Simulator and File Manager. This high productivity development platform allows efficient use of the COP8 microcontroller and its peripherals, allows building of portable solutions, and saves your development time and cost. The Web Processor Expert can be run from any computer connected to the Internet that has an Internet browser with Java support installed.

Using Graphical IDE, the user is able to design an application from scratch without having to do the low-level programming of the microcontroller chosen for the application.

Node Builder is a development tool that allows the user to setup a target CPU and create an application very easily and quickly from scratch without having knowledge how to do the low-level programming of the microcontroller chosen for the application. The Node Builder is a successor of the Graphical IDE (GIDE).

Classic IDE is a web based development tool which allows to create, edit and compile application for COP8 microcontrollers.

Simulator is an Integrated Development Environment (IDE) for simulation of the embedded microcontroller applications.

File Manager is an application which allows the user to manage files located on remote server.

We have currently prepared the Web Processor Expert for the National Semiconductor COP8 Feature Family and it is build to the National Semiconductor. You can try these tools in Microcontroller Assistant of National Semiconductor Webench 3.0 (http://webench.national.com).
