COP8 Support Conditions

The following rules apply to the Stand Alone Processor Expert unless explicit specified below in the following sections.

Customer Responsibilities

In the interest of providing the most accurate and efficient service possible, we ask you to familiarize yourself with the following contingencies:

  • Support will be provided for registered products only.
  • Provide a clear, detailed description of the problem or the question.
  • The customer should be at the workstation where the product is installed at the time of the call.
  • Support will be provided only for products used in accordance with the defined hardware and operating system requirements. To speed up the solving of your problem you can use this form: Problem Report Form.

Installation And Registration Support for Processor Expert

It can be used 60 days from the first call of the customer. This support covers questions related to installation and opening samples shipped with the product and to registration of the product.

Service Features:

  • Access to an Unis support engineer via the e-mail, web or phone (contacts)
  • Scope of service includes: installation and registration of the product
  • Questions on usability, programming syntax, customer's application code, programming and debugging, pre-release or trial versions, and Unis products not listed below are not supported under this service.

Products supported with this service:

  • Processor Expert Stand Alone Version including Bean Wizard

Application support

This support covers questions related to use of the product, user interface and its functionality.

Service Features:

  • Access to an Unis support engineer via the e-mail, web (contacts)
  • Scope of service includes user interface, functionality of all integrated environments listed below, and functionality of generated code.
  • Questions on programming and debugging and MCU peripheral functionality and Compiler problems, pre-release or trial versions, and Unis products not listed below are not supported under this service.

Products supported with this service:

  • Processor Expert Stand Alone
  • Beans Wizard
  • Simulator
  • Graphical IDE
  • Classic IDE
  • File Manager
  • Node Builder

Further support is available by e-mail (contacts) for 6 months after first contact for general problems with Processor Expert Stand Alone including Beans Wizard.

Basic Rules For Support Offering

The problem solution must be related to the general function of the product. The purpose is to solve the customer’s technical problem, eventually determine if the problem is solvable and under which conditions. The aim is not either solving internal and cautionary defect nor solving application programmer’s techniques. The customer is obliged to provide support center all information, which are needed to solve the problem including software and hardware configurations of the equipment.

Terms And Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully.

  • We will undertake commercially reasonable efforts to provide technical assistance under this agreement, but do not guarantee that all problems will be solved or that any item will be error free.
  • We may, from time to time, discontinue any or all support services. We also reserve the right to terminate service to any individual who abuses support program including, but not limited to sharing special phone numbers and customer identification numbers with others.
  • UNIS MAKES NO REPRESENTATIONS OR WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND REGARDING THE SOFTWARE OR ANY SERVICES WE MAY PROVIDE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR ARISING BY STATUTE, LAW OR TRADE DEALING OR USAGE. ALL MATERIALS AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS."
  • We are not liable for incidental, special, or consequential damages for any reason (including loss of time, loss of data or software, loss of profits, or loss of revenue) even if Unis has been specifically advised of the possibility of such damages.
  • We own (including copyrights) all work we do and all information we give to you as part of our support programs. We grant you a non-exclusive licence to use that work and information for yourself, or internally within your company, to the extent such use would be permitted in the UNIS Software Licence Statement that you received with the Unis product to which this information pertains. We have the right to use and treat as non-confidential any information you may give us during your use of our support unless you specify in writing the fact that certain material should be treated as being confidential.
  • This is the full and final agreement between you and us, and supersedes any promises, representations or agreements relating to the subject of this agreement. This agreement may only be changed if you and our authorized representative do so in writing. No inconsistent, additional, or pre-printed terms on your purchase order or other business form apply.
